Psychology services
Practical support for behaviour, relationships and everyday life
Living with a disability can be challenging, but it does not have to stop you from doing the things that make life worth living. Many people access psychology services for assistance in managing their behaviour, improving social skills so they can enjoy more independence, or finding new coping mechanisms.
Since psychology services are broad, they can help anyone who needs support with managing behaviour, relationships and day to day wellbeing.
Our psychologists empower participants by creating a plan for their future and improving quality of life through teamwork with other professionals. Participants are matched with psychologists who have relevant experience and knowledge, giving them more opportunities to reach their full potential.
Funding
NDIS and Medicare funding for psychosocial disabilities
Psychology services at TLK Care can be funded through multiple pathways:
- NDIS — if your plan includes "Improved Daily Living Skills" under the Capacity Building section.
- Medicare — through a GP Mental Health Care Plan (up to 10 rebated sessions per year).
- Private health insurance — we accept AHM, nib, HCF, Bupa and Medibank.
To find out more about your funding options, please contact us.
Early intervention
Early Intervention Childhood Supports
Our approach has been designed to support all children and their families, regardless of diagnosis.
As an individualised treatment strategy for children with developmental delays or disabilities, this early childhood intervention program provides each child with care tailored specifically to them, based on outcomes in therapy sessions and assessments.
